Now every girl loves to be spoilt, and having your hair done is one way of doing it, but imagine that the act of simply getting your hair done turns into a full body experience... At Terenzo international thats exactly what you can expect.... let me tell you more... So, recently I received a hair sponsorship by Brendan Blaine Palmer, with over 20 years experience and a history of puplications in Elle and Marie Claire, Brendan is one of the few Colour specialists in South Africa, specialising in fixing hair problems and doing make-overs. Originally from East London, He moved down to Cape town and is gracing us with his skills and techniques at Terenzo International.. So for my First visit at Terenzo International, I walked in to this Luxurious and spacious salon with over 20 workstations, friendly and welcoming staff, and a really clean and elegant look . .
Upon arrival, I was welcomed with a beverage of my choice, choosing a delicious cappuccino, I was joined by Brendan, who took the time to get to know me and my hair history in detail. It was so nice to have a hairdresser really take the time to show such interest in all the details of my hair, and lifestyle to help him correctly assess what would best suit my hair needs.
It was time to have my hair washed, an experience that blew me away, yes sure, some salons offer a brief head massage at the basins, but at Terenzo the experience is out of this world.. I was escorted to a tranquil room with a number of basins, and at each basin was a luxurious lounger, a totally new experience to be lying down, and a wonderfully relaxing one at that....
Surrounded by peaceful music and the sound of birds tweeting, I was offered a complimentary hand and foot massage whilst having my hair washed... Now that was a first for me, but nothing could prepare me for the wonderful experience to follow... I was given the most incredible head, neck, back and shoulder massage too.. I cannot describe how amazing I felt after this experience.. One of the key features of Terenzo international, this is what you can expect on each and every visit there... Now be honest, where else would you be pampered like that?
Returning to my station, my hair was blow dried beautifully and with such ease, normally I need a straightening iron, but Brendan did such a great job and used such great products on my hair... none of that was necessary.
All in all the most magical experience I have ever had at a hair salon, I urge you all to try out their exceptional services at Terenzo international. My finish product, looking fab for the weekend..
I will be going to Brendan once a week to have something different done, they offer a wide variety of hair services at Terenzo hair, including the Brazilian Blow dry, a topic which Brendan will be talking about live on Mutha Fm at 3pm on Monday 11/3/2013. Have you ever wanted to fly like a bird through the sky and enjoy the beauty of this city from birds eye view..... Well thats exactly what we did.... Yesterday we went on an amazing adventure with a company called Paraglide SA for our Mutha Extreme adventure.. and who better to fly with than Wayne Heuer With over 17 years of paragliding experience under the belt you will be able to rest assured that Wayne is a highly competent tandem pilot.. Wayne works alongside his stunning daughter Jane who is an absolute delight... she gears up all the jumpers.. collects them and just puts your mind at ease... As well as Pilot Grant, also a very qualified jumper... who was taking Henri for his jump.. So we started our day meeting at the top of Signal hill just after 9am, and it looked incredible from up there... skies were blue... sea was flat, and the air was buzzing with summer. Our Mutha Extreme team this time was: Henri Himshoodt from Moments to Media (our Official Video sponsors), Phil Buffet from Imperial Fiat KuilsRiver (our official Car sponsors) and myself... Excitement Soaring... I was lucky enough to get to jump with the EXTREMELY qualified Wayne Heuer.. So we signed our indemnity forms and put on our Harnesses.. amazing to think that this harness is all thats holding you whilst flying through the sky..All ready to take on this adventure, we had to wait for exactly the right wind direction and pattern to form, you will not believe how much science and knowlege goes into this extreme sport... thats why we were so grateful to be going with the best of the best...So.. the time had come.. wind was perfect, heart was pumping ... 3... 2.... 1.... Run as hard as you can, straight off the mountain.. lets just say, I ran for my life.... and ..... LIFT OFF.... WOW... the feeling in indescribable, floating through the sky with not a care in the world.. looking down on all your most frequented spots, and not recognising them from this angle... It really makes you envy birds, to think that they get to experience this every day... what a wonderful life. . On our flight down, we did some fun twirls and heart-pumping twists... IT WAS INCREDIBLE... still on a high from this experience... Wayne was nice enough take photos and video clips of the whole experience.. So Moments2Media will be using all the footage from all three jumps to creat the perfect video for us.. to view the pictures of my flight click here.. I just want to Thank Wayne, Jane and Grant for the most memorable experience ever... it was truly spectacular... and I cant wait to see the finished video...PARAGLIDE SA are also giving one lucky winner the change to win a free paraglide... to enter please click on below picture and find out the details..

So as you all know i am a stuntwoman, and recently went on a trip to Springbok to shoot the last few weeks of the movie... Lets just say... Springbok aint exaclty a very large town, nor is it in any way close to Cape town, so lemme tell you all about what we got up to up there...
So its the day to leave, and we were given instructions to meet at the production office at 11am... to leave by bus with the WHOLE crew ..... Well I had no idea that this little road trip that I was so excited for was gonna take 8 1/2 hours!!! I mean can you imagine sitting in a little box like position for 8 1/2 hours with only 2 breaks... Shoo.. it was a nightmare to say the least, but when we arrived it was all worth it... they organized 4 star accommodation for us, and I had a suite fit for a princess... pity the temperature outside was like -5 degrees.... brrrrr....
Now you must understand the film industry is very much hurry up and wait.... so each morning... I had to wake up at 4am... get to set by 5:30am into hair, make-up and wardrobe by 6:30am and then only used at 3pm.... hahahaha.... but man did I have fun whilst I was waiting.... being a little trigger happy photo freak... I love taking crazy pics... and to feed my crazy addiction, there just happened to be an armor truck full of fun props for me to play with.... hehehe...
I Took pics with AK47's , 50 cals , grenades and armor belts... it was soooo much fun... lol.. it even got me suspended from facebook ... hehe... but that's a whole other story.... anyhow... It was loads of fun and games... Part of our stunts included car flips driving thru explosions, and lots and lots of gunfire...
But of course what is all that work without any play… so each and every night , we hit the small town of Springbok to eat the finest meat, and drink them out of Tequila….. lol… which did not take long..
Some days on set were pretty intense… with lots of action happening, and non stop running around, and others, we spent the whole day in our combi, playing games… especially when the heavens decided to open, and we lost a whole day of shooting…
So……. On one of my ‘not so busy days’ I was walking around looking for diamonds (hehehe) , and discovered a rather mean looking ant, one who seemed to have it in for me… as he seemed to be jumping and chasing me… before running with hand in air and screaming… I managed to take a quick pic.. as only a trigger happy picture addict could do under such intense circumstances… (see below) This Monstrous creature is called a BAL BYTER which in English means BALL BITER!!!! It creeps into warm places and BITES and does not let go! They apparently use them to stitch up wounds or something… anyhow… lemme tell ya… they did not like me very much as each and every day up there I came face to face with one or more.. and it was not pretty….
After a long few days of shooting in very cold and tiring conditions they gave the WHOLE crew the day off…. BAD IDEA!!! Cause that night We went crazy! Lets just say… What happened in Springbok …… stays in Springbok………. Especially cause I cant really remember what happened that night anyway…. Damn homemade caramel tequila! It should have a warning on the label : Too much consumption of this beverage could lead to TOTAL Memory loss…..
The last day on set was rather sad, as I really enjoyed my time up in Springbok, and luckily was so tired after all the work and partying that I slept for every last second of the 8/12 hour trip home… Bliss......
Well... it has been a while since i have written... It has just been such a crazy rollercoaster ride, but what an exciting one... It is amazing how life can do a full 180 right before your eyes...
At the beginning of this year, I was selling jewellery online and stunt doubling on various feature films..... now i have my own Radio show, dealing in extreme sports and have been introduced to a world that I would never have dreamed of entering... but for the first time in my life, I feel complete... I feel like I have found the industry which suits me down to a tee...
I am loving the on air experience, as well as the incredible camaraderie of working with my new family at Mutha Fm... Mutha Fm is an underground radio station, that has exploded over the past few months and I am very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to be part of this Incredible journey...
I never in my life thought I would be a radio Dj, but its almost as though it was my calling all along, I trace back the steps that lead me here and its bizarre how I have come full circle to land up here....
I remember spending my weekends Dancing my night away to the most incredible music and incredible dj's, Namely Nick E Louder was normally the one up on the decks making the crowd go crazy with his choice of Magical Beats that just made our night feel like a fairytale come true... Now I am working for Nick, and playing thise same Tracks 15 years later, and evoking the same emotion and Nostalgia with my listeners.... Its Incredible........
I have found true friends in Helene, Nick and the incredible Dj's at Mutha Fm, With a Team this strong, you can make the impossible a reality......
I had Reached a point in my life where I was feeling a little clouded, and did not know exactly which direction to go in, and then It all just fell to perfectly into place, I could now be my own stunt woman, and could experience all these wonderful activities and best of all document the experience for the puclic to see...
This is just the beginning of my journey , and I get to grow to the best of my ability under the Mutha Umbrella, and for the first time in my life, I am proud and happy of everything that my life has to offer.... it is a wonderful feeling...

Time to tell you a little more about me.......
Well, as a child I grew up with a wonderful family life, my father owned Loots Family Health Centres, a string of massive gyms in Cape Town. I spent most of my afternoons finishing my homework at the gym. I had a granny who took care of me whilst my parents were working, and she being the business woman that she was, took slight advantage of that.... I was a bit of a, lets say, Chubby child.... no... I was Just fat! I weighed 68 kg in standard 3 and I remember I had a few really mean nicknames in junior school! My Gran used to make all sorts of sweet treats, Toffee apples, coconut ice etc... and sell it at the school. Really not good for me, as I ate all the leftovers! hehe...... On top of all of that, we recieved R10 pocket money a week, and my gran had a sweet drawer, she used to sell us the treats at a 500% markup, She was making a killing...... and I was just getting fatter.... I even faked my parents signature to sign sick notes to stop them from making me do PT!
Anyhow, it was not long before my dad, being the fittest man alive, put a stop to this, and forced me to wake up at 5am and made me run! I was in tears practically every morning! For a 11year old, this was not my idea of fun! Plus he paid my brother to weigh me each week and spy on me to make sure I was not eating sweets! I Thank him today for what he did, because by the time I hit high school I was down to a good weight, and i had suddenly found my fire and my passion, and that was the endorphine rush of exercise! It was the childrens fairtale of the little duckling turning into a swan........ I proceeded to take up Ice skating, Ice hockey, Roller blading, Roller hockey, Running competitively, Waterpolo first team, volley ball, you name it, I did it... I was even Rollerblade speed champ at 15 for the open category.... which was a huge achievement...
After finishing high school, I went straight into personal training and did that for about 9 years on and off. I became a Stunt woman in 2001 working in my first movie, Home Alone 4, then King Solomons mines with Patrick Swayze, then Flight of the Phoenix with Dennis Quaid, Poseidon, Blast, Consequence, Last House on the Left, The Runaway, the Natalie Holloway Story, Mission Crane, Judge Dredd, Safehouse, Strike Back 2 and a few more.....
I am a social Media Mogul for What is fiction, I Run a twitter Management business and I am a Radio Dj on Mutha Fm, I also run my own Fitness camp ..... things are looking great........
Thats just a little bit about my background....
xoxo
